Question: How does the Deltek Vision system handle Change Orders?

Answer

Vision’s User Defined Field system allows for users’ to easily add fields specific to their firm into the database, including change orders.  Workflows will also need to be created to calculate the Change Order totals.

User Defined Fields
Go to Configuration, General, User Defined Fields.  Create two currency fields, one for the total change orders, another for the Total Owner Change orders.

Then, go to the grid tab and create 4 new fields.

  • Date of Change - Date Type
  • Change Amount - Currency Field
  • Type of Change - Drop down men (Values such as Design, Owner, Other, etc.)
  • Notes - Character Type
