The Greater Midwest Deltek Vision user group is intended to be a community of Vision users, in and around Wisconsin, who come together to share experiences, expertise and insight with the common goal of enriching every member company’s Vision implementation.
 

Group Leadership

Group leadership exists at two levels within the user group. The first level consists of an overall Group Facilitator. The second level consists of Sub-Group Leaders.

The 4 sub-groups are:
Accounting – focus on accounting, general ledger, AP, AR, billing, project finances, budgeting, payroll

CRM/Marketing – focus on CRM, activities, proposals, leads, opportunities, marketing campaigns

Project Management – focus on PM related functionality, resource utilization, project planning

Information Technology – focus on back of house Vision application issues, customization, installation and configuration, custom reporting, application integration, extending Vision, support issues

Each sub-group typically meets once per quarter, and all groups meet together for a “large-group” once per quarter. Member companies are required to pay dues to join the group and “annually” to maintain membership. The group offers “Courtesy” meetings for companies that want to check it out before they commit. There is a “members-only” website that allows members to ask/answer questions of other members, indicate the sub-group preferences of their Vision users so they will get meeting invites, view shared documents such as meeting notes and presentations, and get contact info for other members that they might need to contact directly.

Deltek and Deltek Partner Involvement

This user group is intended to be facilitated and sustained by its members with a deliberate attempt to minimize the sales and marketing flavor that can sometimes exist within user groups facilitated by vendors and/or resellers. There is no intent to eliminate or restrict Deltek or Deltek partner involvement. The group will often rely on Deltek and Deltek partner resources for meeting content and participation and the group fully understands that such participation will be extremely valuable. But, it is the intent of this group to remain “member run” and “member focused”.
